One look into Nakoma's eyes and we knew we could not leave her at the animal Control facility to die. We knew also, that Nakoma would be a "hard-luck case and helpig her back on her feet would most likely cost quite a bit of money.

Nakoma, which means "promise me" is Heartworm Positive, suffers from malnutrition, intestinal parasites, skin problems and has sever wounds on her legs. She may not be out of the woods yet, but she is definitely out of hell.... We "promised" her she would always be loved for now on and are eager to transform this cinderella into a beautiful princess. MPR has encountered many medical cases lately and will need all assistance we can get to turn Nakoma's life around. Nakoma has found a loving foster home to help her through her treatment and convalescence - All she needs now is a little financial hand. We estimate the total cost of her care to be about $500.00. Will you please look into her eyes and let them reach your heart...
