Cute Two-Tone | Good Boy

Hi, My name is Two-Tone. How a cultured guy with exquisite taste like myself landed in the slammer in a small town in the middle of Kansas that practices breed-specific legislation, I'll never know...

I remember it like yesterday - (okay, it was only a few days ago, but I'm a storyteller, give me a break!) There I was, sitting in the city jail. What, no trial? No due process? What kind of un-civilized town am I in? You see, I did nothing wrong. Nope, not one thing. The whole problem was that I'm a pit bull, (as if that's a problem...) and despite my hip dogsuit, expensive pork-pie hat and rugged good looks, I was sentenced to death.

So I contemplated what I'd do next, played a little gin rummy with the others on death row, and finally decided to make my move. Oh the corruption! It seemed my only way out was to use my smooth 'tude to impress this one kitten in particular. She was a rescuer in town, a human, and she'd come by to visit from time to time and take my mugshots.

Boy, did I lay it on thick! I totally hammed it up, flashed her my irresistibly cute grin, crawled on her lap, gave her thick kisses, the whole thing.

She got me "fixed", (and as a side note, boys, whoever thinks this is not "macho" is not the sharpest tool in the shed! Really, do you think the ladies like to see those big things swinging around while we walk? Yeah, right... consider this operation cosmetic surgery)...

Anyway, it worked. (Well, what did you expect? LOOK at me!) I used my smooth ways and kool-kat character to my advantage, and I was on the first scooter outta town. Apparently, folks made quite a fuss over me all across the Midwest. My sponsor, responsible for saving me, is all the way in Illinois! I landed at MPR and haven't looked back since.

So about me... I'm extremely handsome, I would never dirty up my dog-run, that's not sanitary... I'm mature, I'm friendly, and I'm pretty darn popular. I make friends easily, and my laid-back demeanor is especially nice.

My interests include car rides, listening to music, dancing in water fall, and cuddling, (of course). I'd make an ideal friend for just about anyone, I'm pretty flexible. I'm accustomed to being treated well, I like being indoors and the comfort of nice cushions.

Currently, I'm living in this fenced in dog-run, it's nice and shady, and I always have humans visiting me - they bring me my brunch and dinner, keep my water full, take me for walks, stuff like that. I haven't talked them into getting me a Guinness yet, but we're working on that... perhaps if I tip better...

Though it's alright in here, I'd really prefer to be in someone's home. You should give me a chance, I know I won't disappoint you. Ask for Two-Tone, we can go on a date. I hear that Kansas City has some cool record stores we could hang out at.

UPDATE 10/01/05: Two-Tone has been transferred to a foster home and he is doing absolutely wonderfully. His foster mom says that it's like he's always been living with them. There is only one little problem... The cats. Let's just say that Two-Tone prefers the company of people and dogs. He gets along great with the two dogs in home though (both females), and is a joy to have around. He is extremely obedient and eager to please. Perfectly house broken, crate trained, and wont chew anything he should not in the house. A real canine Gentleman, with an affectionate and fun-loving personality.

UPDATE 10/12/05: Things are not going well with the cats and Two-Tone can't stay in his foster home much longer. He Needs a new home ASAP or he will have to be transferred back to the kennel. This would break his heart... He's been so happy to be in a home again. He gets along great with the dogs, just not with the cats. His foster mom still thinks he's perfect in every other ways.
