A real little treasure, a real people dog! Tessa is a beauty inside out. She is as sweet as she looks. Tessa craves company and wants to be as close as her loved ones as she can. She was abandoned by her owner in a boarding kennel and transferred to a shelter. The staff liked her so much they contacted a rescue group to help her. Now that she's finally out of a cage, Tessa craves love and security.

Someone took the time to train her and Tessa knows some basic obedience. She is very responsive, eager to please, and submissive. In fact, she is quite sensitive and shows signs of abuse. She will need a gentle hand and little bit of time to realize no one will hurt her again. Because of this, we wont place place in a home with young kids that could scare her. She is making great progress though, and is quite a happy dog. She is also calm and very easy in the house. She will just lay by your side and enjoy your company quietly. She likes to play in the yard but she is not hyper at all - Just enjoying her new life with a big smile in her face. She's no trouble at all and could probably be placed with just about anyone, including older people looking for a quiet and easy dog. Tessa loves everyone and is a very sweet and loving dog. We think she looks like a baby seal. She is a big girl though, with a stocky and well proportioned body. She looks strong and impressive and has a Beautiful head, not to mention her striking white coat. She is gorgeous. She was introduced to some of you dogs and gets along great with them. She needs to be supervised though, as she can play a little rough, and she may not be good with other females. We think she could be placed with a friendly and non threatening male. She would also do great as an only pet since she is such a people-dog. Tessa told us she's been trough some tough times and she is very ready for her for ever home now. We think she's a princess and we hope we can help her find her palace soon... |
