Lovable Boy | Beautiful blue eyes Powder's amazing look, beautiful white coat and striking blue eyes don't go unnoticed. He is albino but surprisingly he isn't deaf. He might however, have some minor issues related to his condition. Powder is a little slow and his learning skill is somewhat behind for a dog his age. Powder has a great disposition though and doesn't seem unstable or untrustworthy. We just think it is important that potential adopters understand his limitation with training and obedience. Kissable face | Sweet face | Loving Powder We don't think he will be a difficult dog in the right hands but he will need a caring, patient and understanding owner willing to provide him with structure and positive training. Powder doesn't know how to be a pet yet and doesn't have very good house manners. He needs work with housebreaking and he should be crated until he understands how to be a normal indoor dog. He can get out of a regular wire crate so he needs a very sturdy one. He can also climb a 4 foot chain link. Finally, Powder needs a lot of love and attention so we prefer placing him with someone who will be home a lot. |

Powder looks intimidating in some of those pictures but don't let that fool you. He is definitely not a dog for the macho types that need a tough dog to boost their ego. Powder is quite the opposite. He only wants to make friends and give everyone big hugs and kisses. He is very loving, and I stress it. The dog craves contact and lives to be loved on. He is a true lap dog and wants to be as close as people as possible. Powder seems to get along with other dogs but like all our Pit Bulls, he will not be placed with another male. He has not been around cats be he seems to have a high prey drive so a home without small pets is preferred. Serious Powder | Good looking boy Powder's ears were cropped short and most likely not by a professional. We can only imagine what the poor dog must have endured in the hands of his abuser. We can tell he didn't have a very good life before his rescue but that didn't affect his sweet personality. We are looking for a special home for Powder because he is a special boy. He is one of the most loving dog that have entered our program. He deserves a home that will appreciate his sweet nature and will give him the time he needs to become a great companion. |
