Unlike
a lot of dogs we rescue, Mellow had a great start at life. He
never suffered from abuse or neglect until the last few weeks
before his rescue. He has great house manners and knows how
it feels to be well cared for. Being abandoned by his family
was very hard on him and we hope to find him a new home ASAP.
We
were told that Mellow lived in a home with a 1 year old baby
and a 6 year kid and was great with both of them. We were also
told that he is ok with female dogs he is familiar with it,
but we have not introduced him yet. We believe that a slow introduction
would be best for him or he could go in a home as an only pet.
He is very much a people-dog anyway. No cats please.

Mellow
is completely housebroken, perfectly crate trained, has impeccable
house manners and is trained to use a "Gentle Leader"
collar so he doesn't pull on the leash. He doesn't jump up on
you, and is quite mellow. He has a happy-go-lucky personality
and is very friendly. He is responsive and knows a few commands
and tricks. He is currently fostered in an apartment where he
goes on walks a few times a day. He is trained to use a "Gentle
Leader" so he doesnt pull. His foster dad says that he
is a great boy and no trouble at all.
Mellow
is a big-boned dog, a little larger than average. He has a very
nice red coat and a beautiful head. Those pictures were taken
the day we got him and he looks much better in person. We will
do a new picture session soon. Mellow looks quite impressive
and he knows it. He is outgoing and confident with everyone
and very friendly. He is also a real wiggle-butt.
Mellow
wants to go home
Please
consider giving Mellow a chance. This boy is used to sleep in
bed with kids and be in the middle of everything with his family.
We know he cant wait to put his ordeal as an homeless dog behind
him and adopt a new family. Will you be the one?
"Please
take me home with you...."
