KNUT'S SONG
KNUT
Knut is a polar bear who was born in captivity. Rejected by his mother at birth, he was subsequently raised by zookeepers. At one time the subject of international controversy, he became popular after a tabloid newspaper ran a quote from an animal rights activist that seemingly called for the death of the young cub. A worldwide public outrage caused fans to rally in support. Children protested outside the zoo, and many e-mails and letters expressing sympathy for the cub's life were sent from around the world...
Knut's inner charm is as irresistible as his outside beauty. This dog is a real Casanova. Everyone is falling for him. He sure is a hit with the ladies, though he is very much a guy's dog too. As for him, he likes everyone just the same.
Knut is strong and powerful and needs training. However, he is very eager to please and tries his best to be a good boy. He's still very much a puppy and his goofball personality can sometimes get the best of him.
Knut is super friendly and very outgoing. Everyone is a long lost friend. Not much of a guard dog despite his impressive stature. He is indeed, a pretty big guy and might still have some growing up to do. He should be a good 75 Lbs when he has gained all his weight. His head alone must weight half of his body ;-)
He doesn't seem to realize how big and impressive looking he is. He just wants to be friends with everyone and have a good time.
Knut currently resides at MPR's mini-shelter where he is thriving. He has been introduced to friendly female dogs and does well with them. He is however, somewhat dominant with big challenging males. He's confident and wont back down from a challenge, though he is not looking for trouble.
Knut is crate-trained and appears housebroken. He doesn't seem to be a chewer and appears to have great house manners.
The dog is drop-dead gorgeous and we want to make sure he wont fall in the wrong hands. Don't expect him to guard you. He needs someone to guard him! This striking dog is more at risk of getting stolen than your furniture... As the leader of the pack, it should be your responsibility to protect your family, including your dog, not the other way around.
