Story: We have no clue how Poetic Justice managed to escape hell, but he did. And his guardian angel lead them straight to the house of a "rescuer" who immediately contacted MPR. Little justice had curled himself up in a baby-car seat when we first met him.
In the baby seat | First day with MPR
Justice was in pretty bad shape when found and battled medical conditions as a result of the difficult life he had to endure until now. We promised him we would heal all his wounds, including his broken heart. While completely traumatized when he entered our program, Justice soon started to come out of his shell and learned that people can be good. Everyday he is opening up a little more and greeting our volunteers with a wagging tail and sweet smile. He still has a way to go but we believe there is a very good little dog underneath the scars, wounds and emotional torment.

Medical Needs: Justice is in DIRE need of dental work. He is also battling skin and ear infection. His vet care has been estimated at over $300.00. If you cant adopt or foster, you can still make a difference in Justice's life. Please donate for his medical care.
Foster Situation: Justice is currently boarded in a kennel facility for the cost of $280.00 a month. Financial help or a loving foster home are desperately needed for this sweet boy. |
Update December 07: Thanks to very generous donations, Justice had his dental work done this month and we can tell he feels muuuuuuuch better. Thank you so much to everyone who cares so deeply about this sweet boy.
Update January 08: A new year and a new start for Justice. He has been transferred to foster care where, for the first time of his life, he is learning to be part of a family... And a big family that is. 4 kids! 2 other dogs and some puppies that come and go in foster care.... And as we expected, he is thriving and loving every minute of it. |
Training: While he was in boarding, our volunteers worked really hard on rebuilding Justice's self esteem and confidence and it paid off! The poor boy had obviously been through some extensive physical trauma before being rescued that left him reserved and
hesitant. We had a feeling he was not born shy however and we were right. With lots of love and patience, Justice has come out of his shell and become a great family companion.
Justice and Friend
| Please love me...
Best Attribute: He has irresistible eyes that will melt your heart the minute you meet him. Everyone is drawn to him and wants to love on him and protect him. Although still worried, Justice is soaking up all this love and showing his gratitude with precious tail wags and shy little smiles.
1/08/2008 UPDATE from his foster mom: This guy has stolen my heart! With gentleness, guidance and routine Justice has warmed up well with our family. Poetic Justice is in a home with a Mom, Dad, 4 children and 2 adult Pit Bulls and one puppy. Oh gosh is that a mouth full.
I am not quite sure where he has come from, but seeing him struggle with his internal scars, I know it wasn't a nice place to be. He rubs up on our legs like a big cat ~ ADORABLE and does these funny cart wheels ~ HILARIOUS! When you put your hand down to pat his head, you think he is going to lick you but he never does. Which is fine with me, lol.
