Story: Jude was scheduled to be euthanized for the wonderful reason (NOT!) that her family was moving and could not take her with them. According to the owner, she lived in a house with a cat, small dog and children and was about as good as a dog can be. Still, looks like going through the effort of finding a place to live that would accept all members of the family was not an option for Jude's owners... Well, this probably was a good thing for Jude. Hopefully her next family will be as loyal to her as she promises to be to them.
How Can YOU Resist That Sweet Face?
Foster Situation: Jude now lives in a house with two dogs and a cat. She gets along great with them and every one she meets! She spends much of her time following our two dogs around the house. While she is ok with the cat, she might do better in a home without a feline friend.
Jude is an excellent passenger in the car - she stays in her seat like a good girl. She loves to run around the fenced backyard, but must be watched. She has tried to jump our low chain link fence. The ideal situation would be a 6-foot privacy fence. Jude sleeps every night in her crate, and seems comfortable with that arrangement.
Gorgeous Girl!
Training: Jude is housebroken and is responsive to crate training. She is good about going to the door to notify us when she needs to go outside. She knows how to sit, and is working on learning her new name. We are working on teaching Jude how to fetch. She loves to chase the ball, but sometimes forgets to bring it back with her!
Jude is very good about not jumping on visitors, and waits for an invitation before climbing on your lap. Jude is excellent about not begging when people have food. She politely lies on the floor or dog bed and waits for dinner to be over. Jude does cower or wince if you raise your hand too quickly around her but doesn't show any inappropriate behavior such as aggression.
Napping With Her Friend
Personality: Jude is a little timid when you first meet her. Once she warms up though, she is very cuddly. She loves to have her belly scratched! Jude is calm, but playful. She likes to play, but does not get out of hand. She can be goofy too. Jude loves to give everyone kisses! It does not matter to her if it is another dog, a person, or a cat.
Jude is not a barker. When neighbors walk by the house, she doesn't make a peep.
Best Attribute: Jude is happy all the time! My favorite time with her is when she snuggles with me while I'm reading a book or watching TV. I cannot resist her cuddles and kisses! She would be great for someone looking for dedicated companionship.
Will you love me?
