Handsome Boy | Brrrr! | Pretty Boy | Irrisitible | Goergous | Sweet Face | Too cute | Sweetheart
We don't know much about his past before but he has a handful of scars on his front right leg and chest. It is possible he got into a fight with another dog or had some kind of horrible abuse situation happen to him. He wasn't trained at all but like all pitties we come across, he was more than ready to learn and make his “new owner” happy.
Beautiful Colored Coat | Adora-bull | How could you resist that face? | Sitting Pretty | WOW! | Serious moment | Too Cute
Hendrix spent about three weeks in a temporary foster home until an available kennel was open for him at the MPR shelter. He won over his temporary foster moms heart instantly! It could have been from his silly grunt/snort that he does when he lays on his back or gets excited, or possibly from the adorable expressions he can make with his ears and huge smile. Maybe it was from his love for life regardless of what his past was.... Either way, he heard his temp foster mom say that she wished she could keep him and would if her current pack wasn't so full already.
Simply Irresistible | What's Over There? | Hopeful | Waiting for you | Good sit | Good looking boy | Standing proud | Silly Boy
Despite the fact that Hendrix had no training whatsoever, he is a quick learner and very eager to please. He learned sit very quickly and seemed to puff his chest out a little more after that because he was so proud he was on the road to becoming a cherished family member. He loves to “test” each new person he meets to see if they will have the same expectations as his temp foster mom, if they don't....”Game ON!!” He still has a huge puppy personality and will take up any opportunity to romp around, play keep away and see just how far he can take it. Once he is told he needs to follow the rules though, “marine ready” is he! Needless to say, he wants a new mom and/or dad that is active and a strong leader so he doesn't have to try to “run” the house.
Handsome Boy | Too Cute! | Beautifull Hendrix | Standing | Adorable | Waiting for love | What-a-face | On the couch
Hendrix had NO accidents in his crate or the house during his three week stay. He would also take care of his business right away once he was either walked outside or let out in the back yard. He does like to play with anything he can find though! He was so ecstatic to see all the dog toys that he could choose from that he had to test them all... Once it was realized how strong he is, many of the toys were removed. He didn't know the Kong, tennis ball, rope toy, stuffed animals etc weren't for destroying! He started to test out any of the human belongings and seeing if those were fun to shred as well, he did quickly realize that the humans weren't too happy about that though.
Hendrix has such a fun-loving personality and enjoys every moment he can. Whenever he is around people his tail is wagging and a silly pittie grin is glued to his face. He has been a good reminder to laugh a little more and take things just a little less seriously. Hendrix hopes that his forever home will come soon so he can share his happy go lucky outlook with someone soon!
