Eva was chained to the corner of our street on New Years Eve. We approached her and she was VERY nice so we brought her into our basement. She is SUPER sweet and wants to be around people constantly.
She has been temperament tested and is very friendly, just needs some training and love. She is NOT food aggressive. She appears to have been tied up outside her entire life. If you give her a bone she will lie next to you and will be content for hours! She is learning sit very quickly!!!
She may do well with other animals but she needs training. She doesn't know how to behave around other dogs because she hasn't been socialized.
We would like to place her in a home that has no other dogs or that has a male dog only. Because we do not know her history we want to be safe. Sometimes more than one female dog in a household can cause problems. If you have experience training dogs we would be open to adopting her to a home with multiple dogs.
Eva is 1-2 years old, heartworm negative, on prevention, spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots. She is healthy, has been eating well and gaining some weight. She is crate trained, she will whine when she needs to go outside.
We are not sure if she is house trained because right now she is kept in a kennel in our basement. We have quite a few other dogs and have been keeping her separate. We are going to be introducing her slowly after we can build up more of a relationship and get her to sit on command regularly.
A small adoption fee will apply. We use the best and cheapest low cost vet in Kansas City, we are trying to get her healthy and spayed for the lowest cost possible.
