Tiana was in bad shape when she came to us as you can tell from those previous pictures. Can you imagine trying to endure temperatures below zero when you have a short coat like that and no fat on your body?
Tiana survived 2 or 3 winters like that, before she was finally rescued this year... We promised her that she would never starve and freeze in the cold again. Trust me, she appreciates it!!!

Tiana has gained over 15 lbs and her coat is now shinny and healthy. She still carries a few scars from her difficult past but those are external scars only. Inside, she is all healed up and for a dog who obviously suffered so much at the hand of humans, she certainly doesn't hold a grudge AT ALL! Quite the opposite. Tiana just cant contain her love for people and her joy to be with everyone. Typical bully girl!
What-a-goof | Tiana sit | Sweet Face | Funny-Girl
Tiana is so happy all the time that she just wont stop smiling. We tried to take "serious" pictures to show her nice head structure, but Tiana wouldn't have it. She just had a big old pitty smile the entire time we took the pictures because, you know, photo sessions are soooooo much fun!!!
Loving life | Waiting for a family
Tiana is fostered in a home with other dogs. Her previous experience with dogs might have not been the best so we are taking our time to introduce her. She has met the easy-going male in her foster home and so far so good. She also gets along great with the little Chihuahua.
She is definitely very much a people dog though, and by far prefers the company of people than other dogs. We think she would be awesome in a home with kids because she is so tolerant, is such a clown and has wonderful playful nature. She'd be a great family companion.
While Tiana is somewhat energetic when its time to play, she is more of a "couch potato" type than an active dog. She would much rather cuddle on the couch and watch TV with her loved ones than go on a long jog. She would certainly enjoy a walk with the family though.
Big pitty smile | Pretty girl | Happy Tiana | Kisses anyone?
Tiana is medium size but quite stocky. She's over 60Lbs but she is not a large dog. Just a "big boned" kinda girl.
Tiana is an all around very easy and well behaved companion. She crates very well, doesn't try to jump the fence, is responsive and eager to please, and even though she lived on a chain before, she is housebroken and acts like a little lady in the house.
If you are looking for a happy dog who is always smiling and always in a good mood, Tiana is your gal!
