Rudolph's beautiful head and sad expression caught our attention at the shelter. He was covered in fight wounds, underweight, and miserable. His eyes were begging for a chance... We don't know what happened to him, but his behavior indicated that me might have been a well cared for pet at one time. How he ended up in the pit is unknown but we don't think he was a willing fighter. Ironically losing a dog fight might have been his blessing. He was most likely dumped and eventually found himself at the shelter. While many shelter dogs are not lucky enough to be rescued, Rudy happened to be there the day we had an opening, and his sweet eyes and good disposition played in his favor. |

Rudy is now in a foster home and very grateful for his rescue. He made himself comfortable right away, and let out a big sigh of relief when he saw the comfy couch. He is slowly winning over the resident female by doing all he can to be a gentleman around her. He can probably go in a home with a nice and friendly female. No cats please. Rudy has great house manners, is fully housebroken, good in his crate, and knows basic training. He adores people and loves belly rubs. He is great with kids, men, and women alike. He loves to play and have a good time, but what he like the most is to give kisses and cuddle on the couch with a loved one. Rudy would love a home with a big fenced yard. He needs a secure fence as he can jump. Rudy really is a great dog with an outstanding disposition. He will be the pride and joy of anyone who opens their heart to him. |
