Story: King was rescued from a horrible home. He was tied to a tree with a 2 foot long tie out, and left for weeks, with no food, water, or shelter, only dirt and feces to sleep in. One day we were working in the backyard and heard strange noises from the area that he was tied up in. We looked, and saw him hanging over a fence, nearly strangled to death. We rushed over, cut the rope, and gave him CPR. He finally started breathing again. After contacting the owner, we were given permission to take him. He has been a spoiled foster baby since then!
Foster Situation: King is the ultimate BEST dog I have met. Though he is very tall, big boned and weighs nearly 80 pounds, he is the biggest baby. He is calm and gentle and does wonderful around our 1 year old niece. He will gently follows her around. He never bumps or leans on her. He just loves all children. The best description for him would be 'Gentle Giant'.

He is fostered with a family of 2 other female pit bulls, and Xander, another MPR dog.
King does not care much for cats, but gets along well with all of our dogs and mostly any other dog he meets, especially the ladies! King thoroughly enjoys playing with other MPR dogs. His all time favorite girlfriend was Windchill, and he also likes to play with Sahara.
We live in the city limits, and have a large fenced yard. King likes to stay close to us, and will stay close while we do yard work. He has jumped the fence once to play with the dog next door, and once to get a leftover turkey bone that we set out for the stray cats, but always jumps right back over when we call him.
So needless to say, King needs to be supervised when he goes outside.
King likes to ride in the car, and enjoys swimming. He also likes playing tug-of-war, fetch, and likes to sit for treats.

Training: King is eager to please, and is housebroken. He has been through months of training, and is easily walked. He loves to sleep in the bed with his foster mom, and stays in his place at the foot of the bed. He is just a great dog for anyone. He knows what 'go home' means, sit, stay, lay down, watch, come, let's swim, let's ride, and always sits for food and water.
Personality: King is somewhat reserved but friendly. He prefers a quiet atmosphere. He is a very submissive dog, and rarely pushes the limits. He would do well in any home. The best thing about King is that he is like a little person. He doesn't know that he is a dog, and he knows that everyone is his new best friend. He can be shy around men he doesn't know but warms up quickly. King is happy just lounging and napping with the family, or walking around the neighborhood.
Best Attribute: The best description for him would be 'Gentle Giant'.
