Boon and new mom Joletta

"Hi, On the way home Boon wanted to sit in my lap where the air conditioner vents are. I allowed only the front legs. When he cooled off he laid down between the front seats. We went through the drive thur at Mc Donald's at Cameron. When we got to the window the girl loved Boon & gave him a dog biscuit. The owners are dog lovers & keep them on hand. We aked him to speak for the treat & he did. The girl thought that was neat. Anyway he ate french fries on the way home. When we arrived home I took him directly to the back yard & turned him loose. He ran & ran.

He sits for a treat now & doesn't lay down. I learned this last night,of course he already had the idea. He always comes when I call him, so far. I always praise him a lot when he comes & use his name in a happy voice. No wonder he seems to love it. Boon was soooo excited to see the kids. They played for a while. When the kids ate their snack he layed beside the table. He was sleeping when Greg got home. We were sitting at the table eating pizza when Boon heard Greg's voice & wanted to say hello. So I let him out. He said hello & went around to averyone at the table for a hand out. I told the kids not to feed the dogs at the table. So he kept going round & round with his most pathetic face. He never jumped up or bothered us.But that face was sooo cute. He even rested his chin on the edge of the table & looked at all of us, & still nobody gave him anything. He was a good boy. After we got done I took some scrapes away from the table & made him sit & come to his name, & that was hard considering he smelled the food. He would have followed me anywhere.

Boon likes to play tag with the older kids. He plays well with them. He & Teah are buddies. He chases her when she rides her little tikes trike around the patio, but as soon as she stops he stops also. He is very gentle with her. He has never jumped on her to get his toy she is trying to throw for him to get. She lays beside him, on him, & hugs him. She has long conversations with him. I'll keep you posted on his progress. Until Later." Joletta

Boon is one fun loving guy with a great personality. Poor dude was victim of BSL (Breed specific legislation) in his municipality and had to be removed from his family. He may have been raised with a heavy hand, but that doesn't stop him from being a very friendly boy. He shows some guardian instinct and will require a responsible owner.

Boon is a very confident and playful boy who enjoys life to its fullest. He's just a big happy pup and will need some training.

Sitting Pretty | Silly Boy

He lived with kids and cats before, and is being socialized with dogs of all ages, and more kids while being in foster care. Like all MPR dogs, Boon will only be placed as an only dog, or with a compatible female. That said, he gets along great with all dogs right now, shows no aggression, and loves to play.

A serious moment That didn't last very long... Now that is a PitBull smile!

Boon wants a doggy-pool!!!!

Many pictures on this page are showing Boon in the doggy-pool as I was not able to get him out of there once he discovered it. I have never seen a dog have so much fun in the water like that! Boon will amuse himself for hours making waves, and splashing water all over himself. He's a riot!

"I like to fetch too!" | "Here's a good stick"

Boon is a very nice looking dog. He has beautiful eyes, a gorgeous head and a nicely built body. He still has a little bit of growing to do but should be a very good size. Not too big, not too small.

I believe this happy boy will make an excellent and very amusing family dog. A large fenced yard is preferred. A home with cats should be OK.
